**About the role**

As a Relief Operator, you will be responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensure Parramatta’s Public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city

On a daily basis you will:

- Undertake cleansing of the public domain and assets
- Backfill all roles and duties within the team as required. Including but not limited to; operating mechanical street sweepers, rear load garbage compactor, public amenities cleaning, illegal dump collection, assisting with emergency works.
- Implementing work practices in line with waste and cleansing industry

You will be starting and finishing at Council's Rydalmere Operations Depot or Council's Wentworth Street Compound Parramatta as required.

**About You**
- Mechanical street sweeper
- Rear load garbage compactor
- Competent understanding of small and heavy plant operations applicable to Cleansing Services
- Relevant experience in a similar role and operational environment

**Qualifications**
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (Minimum MR Class or higher)
- **Essential**:

- Construction industry certificate “White Card”- **Essential**:

- Current blue/yellow traffic control licence
- _or the ability and willingness to obtain _
- Current WorkCover approved forklift licence (LF)
- _Desirable _
- Power Line Awareness training
- _or the ability and willingness to obtain _
- Asbestos Awareness training
- _or the ability and willingness to obtain _

**What’s on offer**

**Days/Hours**:Saturday to Wednesday;**

**Sat, Sun: 3am-11:30am**

**Mon - Wed: 11:30am-8:00pm**

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $61,736.51 to $67,983.28 plus 11% Superannuation.

Position **may **attract an extra shift penalty in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for the actual time worked in accordance with the Local Government Award 2023.
