**Role Summary**:
The Project Finance Lead is an exciting opportunity in our Finance Business Partnering & Project Governance team based at our Perth CBD office.

The primary purpose of the Project Finance Lead is to manage a high-performing project finance function providing project accounting, budgeting and forecasting and commercial support in the development and delivery of projects that are part of Synergy’s $3+ billion renewable projects portfolio.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Build trustful relationships with Future Energy (FE) business unit EGM, SLT and project teams to become first point of contact in project finance matters to deliver strategic projects.
- Strategic partner with FE business unit to drive the provision of timely and relevant project information to assist with critical decision making.
- Manage a high-performing project finance function including objective setting, work prioritisation and allocation, performance reviews and development planning support.
- Drive BU ownership and accountability for managing project budgets within approved limits.
- Support the roll out and operationalisation of project governance requirements with the aim of zero internal audit non-conformance findings.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Significant experience in a range of finance roles, e.g., financial or management accounting, business partnering, budgeting & forecasting or reporting
- Degree qualification in Finance / Commerce / business and post graduate qualifications (e.g., CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification)
- Sound understanding of project lifecycles and related accounting implications.
- Proven ability to engage, work with and present to project and senior management.
- Strong relationship building, influencing and leadership experience in an outcome focussed environment.
- Experience in financial planning (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion) and ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle etc.) software is desirable.
