Our client is looking for a Project officer to join the Aged Care Standards team working in partnership with and collaboration with the Aged Care Quality and Assurance Division of the Commonwealth Department of Health and the Aged Care.

As the Project Officer, you will be working within a close-knit team with the Program Manager and Senior Project Officers of the program to support the development and implementation of Aged Care standards. The work will involve organising and assisting with public consultation, drafting papers across the program areas, and providing project support.

**As the Project Officer, the duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Undertake procurement and contract management activities including financial administration via SAP
- Working with key stakeholders across the agencies, national and state authorities
- Document management using TRIM
- Providing support for committees and expert groups
- including preparation of agendas, meeting notes, logistics, and other administrative tasks
- Undertake project management activities including input into project planning and documentation, monitoring, and reports
- Edit and collate draft meeting papers, correspondence, discussion papers, submissions and briefing notes
- Experience in Health and Aging would be desirable
- Excellent project management, time management, and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of Government processes
- Knowledge of Australian healthcare systems

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Demonstrated project management experience
- 2 - 3 years experience with a similar position or Health and Aging
- Experience in writing effectively for a range of audiences
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement

**Selection Criteria**:

- Strong conceptual, analytical, and research skills, including demonstrated sound judgment and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
- Demonstrated strong writing skills, including the ability to write high-level documents including briefing papers, reviews, submissions, and meeting papers.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and develop productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- An understanding of Australia’s health care system and key safety and quality issues relevant to Aged Care Quality Standards.
