We are currently seeking a Casual Diet Supervisor to join our Hotel Services Department in Macquarie University Hospital. The role will provide high quality nutrition and dietetic services to clients of the Macquarie University Hospital.

About You:
Reporting to the Hotel Services Director, your main responsibilities is to provide nutrition and dietary support to MQ Health clients, groups and staff. Assisting in supervision of kitchen staff and other departmental administration tasks such as food service, quality improvement activities, meetings, development and ordering of resources.
Key Accountabilities include (but not limited to)- Preparation of food and beverages for patients, visitors and staff in a timely and appealing manner and in line with dietary requirements- Assists in the development, implementation & maintenance of nutrition care, & service standards- Writes assessments, implements nutritional care plans, & follows the care & progress of the patients as per protocol- Communicates with Director, Hotel Services and Registered Dietitian on issues with patients’ diets- Participates in the development & implementation of quality, service & performance improvement processes related to the delivery of clinical nutrition services.- Contributes to the overall cost structure & service improvement goals of the Service Area

- Experience in administration within a medical or hospital environment- Flexible roster availability during the week plus weekends- Strong organisational skills with the proven ability to work to tight deadline- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances- Well-developed computer literacy skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MS Word, Excel and web-based research- A proactive and positive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.- Strong customer service skills, be self-motivated and goal orientated and able to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders
