The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides a comprehensive range of academic programs to prepare health professionals for positions in nursing and midwifery.

The Nursing and Midwifery Simulation Ward Coordinator manages all aspects of the simulation learning environment of the School, adequate resourcing, contemporary simulation learning program delivery and compliance with all relevant legislation. This position is responsible for the sole provision of all simulation learning environment functions for the School and will work collaboratively with permanent and sessional staff to provide support to teaching and learning teams by performing a variety of tasks to ensure that equipment and materials are appropriately set-up in workshops and other classes.

Reporting to the Nursing and Midwifery Simulation Laboratory Manager, this position has a key role in the implementation of the School’s simulation learning strategy. The role is physically demanding due to the regular movement of equipment and materials; and requires a solid understanding of the allocation of all resources - physical, human, and financial.

Key Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation

Registered with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia

Ability to work efficiently in a constantly changing environment and to develop, investigate and take on board out-of-the-norm ideas/suggestions and putting these into practice resulting in novel ways of the way we do things.

The ability to work cooperatively with others to accomplish joint tasks and common objectives

Negotiating and allocating resources to services, programs and projects to achieve outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and resource utilisation and aiming towards limited resource wastage

Develops and fosters a highly productive team environment

Benefits & Remuneration
This permanent, ongoing position attracts a salary of $85,551 to $92,301 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
