The newly established Clinical Research Unit (CRU) will work in partnership with existing services within UNSW Medicine & Health and will coordinate infrastructure and expertise from across UNSW and affiliate networks. Over time, the platform of services provided through CRU will include academic and operational support which will assist with developing high-quality research proposals followed by support for delivery of clinical trials and other clinical research projects.

**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Clinical Research Training Manager is a member of the CRU operations team and will play a key role in developing and delivering a workforce development program for the CRU. The CRU has been established to support academic researchers to have the relevant expertise, systems and tools to allow efficient, high quality, impactful research to be conducted across UNSW and its affiliated networks. The unit will partner with researchers to develop and deliver on impactful clinical research. The role will require stakeholder management with key groups within UNSW, affiliated Medical Research Institutes (MRIs) and across the UNSW network.

**Who You Are**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field, or relevant equivalent work experience.
- Certification in training development and delivery highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methods.
- Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in the conduct of clinical research operations. e.g. Project management, monitoring and safety reporting, ethics compliance or risk management.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience facilitating group workshops/training and high-level comfort with public speaking and event hosting, preferably in a research environment.
- Experience with learning management systems, e-learning software, and other training technology tools.
- Excellent working knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, ethical and regulatory clinical research requirements as well as principles of research integrity.
- Strong organisational, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate training material and concepts.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills across various levels of stakeholders.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle a wide range of stakeholders, ambiguous conditions and changing competing priorities.
