Duties & Responsibilities
To be deemed successful in this position, you will need to be able to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Development
- Ensure coding is within standards and follows best practice
- Provide accurate estimates of time taken to complete a component
- Ensure agreed delivery target dates are met
- Communicate proactively with the team when issues are encountered
- Assist the team to meet deadlines and commitments
- Be responsive to clients and ensure there are no missed SLA
- Ensure code is unit tested with zero defects before being turned over to QA
- Minimal outstanding open defects and assigned issues are closed on time and resolved properly
- Manages in developing reusable assets or codes that will lessen development time and improve productivity
- Develop code that is stable and mature with mínimal bugs and designed to be extensible and manageable
- Be creative, innovative, and capable of thinking of out-of-the-box solutions
Team
- Collaborate with other Developers
- Participate in the design, coding, and peer reviews to improve the quality of code
- Be present, on time, prepared, and engage in discussions in meetings
- Assist or guide junior members
- Develop positive working relations with other RightCrowd Departments and Business Units
General
- Contribute to the flow of communication within the team and actively participate in team meetings
- Become familiar with the Company’s support tools
- Ensure on-time submission of timesheets with proper allocation of hours on assigned projects/tasks
- Comply with all Corporate policies and procedures
**Requirements**:
- A university degree or equivalent in Information Technology
- 3-5 years of experience in software development with enterprise technology
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft.Net and C#
- Solid SQL knowledge, using MS SQL Server
- Working knowledge of Source Control, particularly Git and TFVC
- Web Technologies - HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, Angular, KnockoutJS, React, RESTful services
- Experience with using ORMs, especially nHibernate and/or Entity Framework
- Practical experience and knowledge of Agile Methodologies and related tools (eg JIRA/TFS)
- An appreciation for writing bulletproof code that is capable of processing high volumes of traffic
The following knowledge is also advantageous:
- .Net 5.0 or above
- RESTful API development
- Wix#
- XSLT
- ASPX
- Cloud based technologies, particularly Azure based
- Containerization using Kubernetes and Docker
