About the role
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Work 8am-4pm across 5 days, Monday-Friday.
- Lead by example and manage your team of baristas and front of house staff, including rostering, recruitment, and training.
- Facilitate the workplace training experience for STREAT’s young trainees, supported by our dedicated youth programs team who are always on hand to support you and your team.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the cafe run smoothly, whilst always striving for exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a pristine space, and take pride in the fine details.

About you
We’d love for you to have:
- A genuine passion for hospitality.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- A track record of managing COGs and wage targets.
- Outstanding all round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in specialty coffee is preferred, but not essential.

About our team
We’re a team of over 90 staff - mainly baristas and chefs - but also youth workers, social workers and a bunch of admin and support staff. Our team has four key traits: We dream big about changing the world, we’re creative in how we try and solve problems, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuff done - and we have fun doing it
As part of STREAT's onboarding policy, you will require a current Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencement. Any cost to you will be reimbursed by us.
