Leader of Elearning and Teaching

The Leader of eLearning and Teaching (P - 12) works directly to the Director of Learning and Teaching, strategically and operationally. In this role you are part of our ‘Learning and Teaching Team’ led by the
Director of Learning and Teaching along with the Heads of School. This team provides Christian leadership,
implementation of the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the learning and teaching across
the school.

They are responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a rich and invigorating, Christ
centred digital learning experience for students from Early Learning to Year 12. They take the lead role in
equipping to staff to design and implement an authentic Christian digital learning experience to support
and enhance the classroom learning environment across the School, which gives attention to:
> the empowerment of children as active agents in their own learning;
> the inclusion of the child’s world (family and community), and
> a holistic approach to children’s growth and development.

The Leader of eLearning and Teaching is responsible for working with the Director of Learning and Teaching
to set and meet achievable goals for the sustainable growth of digital learning across the school. This role
works closely with Faculty Coordinators and other school staff to develop and expand online and hybrid
course material, create courses based around learning outcomes, select and use appropriate media and
activities, build and maintain a learning and teaching community, and teach staff to use appropriate tools.

The Leader of eLearning and Teaching solicits feedback from staff, students and families to identify issues
relating to digital learning material and collaboratively seeks sustainable, equitable solutions. The
incumbent participates in the selection and implementation of new digital learning and teaching tools.
Work may focus in the following areas: Instructional Design, Training and Development, and Instructional
Technology.

The Leader of eLearning and Teaching is a full-time Position of Responsibility (PR1 or PR2 dependent on
qualifications and experience) and will undertake a 0.7FTE teaching load. A part-time appointment may be
considered with a minimum of 0.7 FTE.
