Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000**The Project**:
John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella has commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package.

With a contract worth $1.63 billion, the Eastern Tunnelling Package includes construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. Starting at The Bays, tunnel boring machines will cross the harbour near the Anzac Bridge, before heading to the new Pyrmont station and then under Darling Harbour before reaching Hunter Street in the heart of the CBD.

This is the final piece in the puzzle to deliver the city-shaping Sydney Metro West project.

Once completed, Sydney Metro West will double rail capacity between greater Paramatta and the Sydney CBD, with travel times of around 20 minutes between the two centres.

**The Role**:
We are looking for an experienced **Shaft Foreman** with **Tunnelling/Underground and Shaft Excavation** experience. You will be responsible for coordinating site teams to deliver the relevant scopes of works in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
- Management of subcontractors and directly employed work crews.
- Managing scope of works to ensure site-based activities are planned and delivered in advance of their target date, providing smart, safe construction solutions.
- Ensure all site works are planned and delivered in compliance with required technical specifications, relevant legislation, approvals, standards, and deed obligations.
- Ensuring that positive relationships are developed and maintained with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to Safety, ensuring OH&S requirements and risk controls are considered in all construction planning and processes.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience with deep excavation, anchors, concrete works, and steel structures.
- Heavy Civil experience with tier 1 contractors.
- Strong Leadership skills.
- Can work in a multidisciplinary team with multiple interfaces.
- Subcontractor management.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong understanding and focus for safety.
