Condition Monitoring Technician

**What you will be doing**

Reporting to the Asset Health Supervisor, you will play a key role in Boddington’s predictive maintenance strategy and will support the Processing and Maintenance teams with technical expertise to ensure high reliability on critical fixed plant equipment.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Effectively and accurately carrying out routine condition monitoring tasks on all fixed plant equipment using advanced portable data collectors and other tools.
- Carrying out extensive analysis on all data collected to diagnose machinery problems and recommend remedial measures and/or change-out in line with best practice.
- Reporting of significant changes in equipment condition and providing timely reports for key stakeholders.
- Supporting the development of a continuous improvement culture by actively proposing improvements to enhance the reliability and availability of fixed plant equipment.
- Improving standard systems and implementing new methods to improve functionality of the department.
- Maintaining and monitoring the Critical Equipment Watch List.
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with safe work procedures and processes and where such procedures may not exist, assist with their development.

**Who you are**

Your trade or engineering qualification, Vibration Analysis Level 2 (ISO Certification), and a strong understanding of condition monitoring in a heavy industry plant environment together with your experience using SAP or other maintenance management systems is essential. Accreditations in machine lubrication, thermography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing and penetrant testing will be highly regarded.

You will have sound judgement, decision making and problem solving capabilities as well as the ability to interpret technical information and provide advice to maintenance planners and operational staff. Your meticulous approach to managing data, demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements, and competent understanding of Failure and Root Cause Analysis will drive your success in this role.
