Downer are involved in multiple projects across Power stations across NSW.

**Project Details**:
**Eraring Power Station** is a black coal-fired power station. It's located in NSW on the shores of Lake Macquarie, approximately 120 km north of Sydney and 40 km south of Newcastle.

**Vales Point Power Station** is one of two operating coal fired power stations on the shores of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. Vales Point is located on the southern shore of the lake, near the township of Mannering Park. It has two steam turbines, with a total generating capacity of 1,320 MW (1,770,000 hp) of electricity.

**Description**

**As a Mechanical Fitter, you will**:

- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and produce reports as required.

**As a Boilermaker, you'll be responsible for**:

- Performing skilled boilermaker work, including repairs, maintenance, and fabrication tasks.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

**Profile**

To succeed in this role, you should have:

- Relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter & Boilermaker, showcasing your expertise in maintenance and fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow safety protocols.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in Boilermaking.
