**Job Details**
**Position Description**
- As a first point of contact with the public, respond to all enquiries of both a medical & counselling nature.
- Follow procedures to take appropriate action including assessing urgency of treatment for urgent cases and provide first contact support for distressed patients/clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow receptionists, doctors, registered nurses, and psychologists.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy team environment.
- Strong adherence to patient confidentiality.
- Provide clerical assistance for the day-to-day running of the reception area including answering phones, making appointments, data entry, invoicing, receipting and scanning.
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist (Best Practice) would be an advantage but not essential.

**Practice Description**
A wonderful opportunity to work with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team (12 general practitioners, psychiatrist, 5 registered nurses and 7 psychologists) working in a University setting caring for students (domestic and international), staff and their families. We are a medium sized friendly, supportive, fully computerised and well-resourced practice. The Centre is open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 9am and 6pm.
