Ventia are seeking a SHEQ Manager to join their renowned Austin Health contract. This SHEQ Manager will be responsible for looking after the 3 Austin Health hospitals - Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital & the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre.

This is position plays a key role in promoting and embedding SHEQ functions across the contract. This role is based in Heidelberg and offers flexible working conditions including WFH.

**Duties**:

- Managing the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project
- Undertake, or lead, investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations through the project leadership team
- Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures
- Oversee employee rehabilitation, including Return to Work planning
- Develop and deliver safety related training when required including new starter induction, toolbox talks and pre start meetings

**About You**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a safety professional in industrial safety
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in safety / environment / quality or relevant industry role
- Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent
- Formal training in incident investigation
- Management Systems and Lead Auditor Qualifications
- Experience in managing safety audit programs to ensure effective system compliance
- Current driver’s license
