**Category Innovation Specialist - **Middle Eastern/Halal/South Asian Category Specialist

As Middle Eastern/Halal/South Asian Category Specialist you will be assisting the Multicultural Category Innovation Manager to drive innovation and sourcing to deliver a differentiation and meaningful range across the Middle Eastern/Halal/South Asian Category. Maximizing opportunities via partnership with existing suppliers, Seedlab and sourcing new suppliers via identifying trends and opportunities.

**About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Up & Multicultural team as a Category Specialist, in this role you will be accountable to deliver;
- Using customer insights support VOC, NPS and VOS of our Multicultural customers and suppliers
- Build a strong reputation as the retailer of choice from small suppliers by implementing the small supplier strategy and communicating in a timely manner to queries from internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
- Utilize data and insights to ensure supplier partnerships are aligned to commercial outcomes
- Support the creation of events, POCs and trials to validate the performance of offers to inform the growth and development stream for Middle Eastern/Halal/South Asian, support stores with the DSD process to ensure the trial is successfully embedded
- Ensure any unsuccessful trials are managed through to the mutual benefit of the supplier and WW
- Role model ways of working that strengthen relationships with all stakeholders
- Support the Multicultural Category Innovation Manager by working with suppliers on negotiating phases of their initial growth before handing the relationship to the Supplier Development team
- Activation of products to maximize sales and drive customer awareness and repeat purchase
- You'll be able to achieve this by:
- Clear, professional, engaging and concise communication, internal and external
- Collaborate with the various cross functional teams and adapt with changing conditions demonstrating a growth mindset e.g. Marketing, Replenishment, Customer Insights etc
- Use data driven decision making and the agile fail fast principle to drive performance
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize whilst working to many different project timelines
- Sound financial acumen, understanding the various levers to drive commercial performance Leverage existing resources and processes such as Range curation to land new propositions**About You**

- Ability to support to deliver category growth, showcasing data led decision making
- Have experience in **OR **an interest in Middle Eastern/Halal/South Asian products
- Proven success in negotiating and influencing at all levels and managing multiple stakeholders, demonstrating constructive and solid relationships
- Willingness to learn, collaborate with the wider team and adapt with changing conditions
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to negotiate with suppliers, aligning to key OKRs
