**About the role**:
Crime Command is a dynamic work environment encompassing a number of diverse operational and non-operational work areas, all of which are heavily reliant on information technology and communication (ICT) systems. Located within Business Services Division at the Victoria Police Centre, the IT Coordinator reports to the Inspector, Property, Governance and Compliance and manages 1 x VPS3 IT Officer. The position is integral to ensuring all Crime Commands ITC requirements are contemporary and fully functional to meet operational requirements.

A key component of the role is resolving technical ICT issues and advising of ITC requirements, while ensuring procurement/purchasing are compliant with policies. The position will ensure the functionality and efficiency of ICT systems and processes by establishing protocols and establishing ICT replacement schedules.

If you have exception customer service skills, have the ability to work in a dynamic ITC environment and you can effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders and technical experts, then this is the role is for you.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

**Your duties will include**:

- Analyse and enhance business practices and processes to identify appropriate ITC solutions to meet operational requirements, including the provision of advice relating to information and communication technology software and hardware requirements; (e.g. purchases, warranties and configuration);
- Provide high quality customer service and ICT support, coordination and advice across the Command;
- Provide advice and propose ICT solutions to the Crime Command Leadership Group;
- Manage ITC service requests and liaise with relevant work areas and managers to ensure requests are within policy requirements and available budget;
- Provide advice and assistance with system testing, data services and data security.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- An ITC background, qualification preferred, or exposure to installation or troubleshooting software, hardware and Microsoft Applications;
- Sound knowledge and experience in the provision of information and communication technology support in a complex environment;
- Demonstrated initiative, patience, and determination with the ability to communicate IT related issues in a confident, friendly and professional manner with people at all levels throughout the organisation;
- Demonstrated the ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction to ensure positive outcomes;
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently with mínimal supervision.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
