The Careers and Employment Service plays an important role in developing and implementing the University's employability strategy, including enhancement of the student experience and graduate outcomes. We are committed to providing excellent service and proactive outreach to students, academics and other elements within the University.

Based in the Careers and Employment Team, the Career Development Consultant (International Students) will work with existing CDC’s to contribute to the development and implementation of career development programs and services that assist with increasing the employability and outcomes of Griffith students and graduates, with a focus on empowering Griffith's international students to take informed action to increase their employability.

**Job Description**:
As part of the wider Careers and Employment Team, which includes a Career Development Consultants, a specialist in Marketing and Student Engagement as well as a dedicated Student Employment Consultants the International Career Development portfolio encompasses:

- The main strategic priority of this role is to increase the employability and employment outcomes of international students and graduates.
- Providing effective online and in-person career development interventions in one-to-one and one-to-many formats with a focus on providing excellent service to Griffith's diverse cohort of international students and graduates.
- Contributing to the wider Careers and Employment Service employer engagement strategy, with a focus on career development, placement opportunities and graduate outcomes for international students. This work will often require close collaboration with Academic Groups, Griffith International, Advancement Office and International Student Associations.
- Informing and contributing to a marketing strategy directed at Australian employers with the aim of sourcing placement opportunities for international students, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders from across the University.
- Deliver career development and employability content that is embedded and assessed within curriculum both online (Canvas, Collaborate and MS Teams) and in person during lectures, tutorials.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- Demonstrated expertise as a qualified and experienced career development professional with proven competence in providing career interventions (i.e., career counselling / career decision making / job search strategies / networking / interview coaching / career assessments / consultations and seminars).
- have higher education experience and hold postgraduate Career Counselling qualifications and be eligible for membership with the Careers Industry Council of Australia (CICA) and the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services (NAGCAS).
- passionate about supporting international students to realise their career outcomes and motivated by making a difference and helping others.

You will be part of a highly skilled, creative and collaborative team who are dedicated to building and sustaining a culture of career development in our engagements with academic colleagues, students and industry partners. You will have the opportunity to influence career development learning initiatives across the University and contribute to innovative strategies that support Griffith students to become graduates of influence.

This a fixed term (_until end of 2025 _full time position based at the Gold Coast campus. _As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations._

The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $100,567 - $113,136 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $117,663 - $132,369 per annum.
