About the role
Our Donor Research team members are experts in psychology, sociology, public health, epidemiology and marketing, who produce high quality evidence about the behaviour and wellbeing of blood donors using exploratory and applied research approaches.
As a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow you will develop and conduct research projects gaining experience as an independent researcher. You will work with key internal stakeholders to develop a strategically aligned, research profile within Lifeblood and the broader research community. You will initiate and coordinate research projects, generate and analyse data, write reports and publications, and provide advice and recommendations in relation to project outcomes. Working closely with our business partners you will provide consultation on a number of areas including ways to recruit, motivate and retain a diverse panel of donors, exploring ways to improve the donation experience and keep our donors happy and healthy, and better understanding the social context of donation.
Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for;
PhD or equivalent qualification in sociology, health sciences, public health, psychology or a related field.
Proven track record and proficiency in theoretically-informed qualitative research approaches, methods and analysis.
Demonstrated experience using qualitative management software.
A record of achievement, with evidence of presentations, conference papers, and publications in high quality peer reviewed journals relevant to Donor Research.
Expertise in preparing high quality research project proposals, including timelines and budgets, preferably with successful outcomes in competitive research funding schemes.
Experience in managing individual research projects, including project design, implementation and evaluation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated ability to engage with a wide range of individuals
This is a 24 month fixed term contract and can be based out of NSW, VIC or QLD, with a hybrid working environment.
