THE ROLE

MQ Health Cardiology Clinic is seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist (Echo) to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative clinic environment.

You will work as part of a team to ensure a patient-centred focus and work with fellow clinicians and support services teams to provide high-quality patient experience and expert Echocardiography services. The role requires a proficient communication skill and a strong commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key accountabilities of this role include:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred Echocardiography services as referred to by MQ Health Specialist Clinicians and/or other Specialist Clinicians operating as part of MUH, or as directed by the Manager, Cardiac Physiologist.- Perform and interpret ECGs and non-invasive cardiac testing such as stress testing, holter monitoring.- Perform transthoracic echocardiography independently (including provisional reports).- Perform stress echocardiography- Promptly advise the Specialist Clinician or senior medical staff of any patient findings that require immediate clinical attention.- Perform work in such a way as to facilitate positive working relationships within staff at MQ Health Clinics and Macquarie University Hospital and promote the ethos of collaboration in clinical practice, teaching and research.- Actively contribute to professional development activities offered to MQ Health Cardiology staff.

About You:
You will be a Graduate Cardiac Physiologist with a Bachelors of Science/Applied Science and postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Sonography.

Great communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients will allow you flourish in this role. You possess good time management skills and compliant to set work routines and procedures, amenable to work within an integrated healthcare team.
