About the Role

As we transition our business towards the future and adapt to overcome continual challenges, this newly created role, will focus on procurement, purchase, and contract analytics to provide deliverables to our broader Senior Leadership Team. It’s an exciting time to join AGL as we redesign our procurement function to build a strong operational team that delivers on opportunity and growth.

This permanent, full-time role is based on-site at AGL Macquarie in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Hybrid work arrangements will be considered.

About You

You are an effective communicator, passionate about achievement, and create positive commercial outcomes. You will have the skills to extract and interpret diverse data and build strategy development and continuous improvement. Your experience and capability to build compelling business cases and analysing market conditions will be crucial to the growth and success of the business.

What you will do:
- Identify Procurement and Business improvement opportunities.- Support strategy development and long-term business and planning- Monitor and report on procurement and business performance- Advise and develop new processes and procedures to enhance operations.- Prepare reports for the Commercial Services and leadership team- Development of business cases for improvement opportunities and investment

What you will bring:
- University/Tertiary education in related disciplines - analytics, business statistics, commerce (or relevant experience)- Skills in analytics working with complex data sets, and problem-solving capabilities.- Demonstrated experience in Procurement, Category Management, Contract Management and/or business analytics- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, specifically excel.- Advanced influencing, negotiation, and consulting skills- SAP S4 Fiori, Ariba, Fieldglass, Workday systems experience
