Lung Function Technician

Elizabeth Specialist Suites has an opportunity available for a Part-time Lung Function
Technician.

**About the business**
We are a vibrant, expanding specialist medical practice that provides specialist consultation services to patients in the Northern region of Adelaide.

**You will be required to perform**:

- Pre and Post Bronchodilator Spirometry
- Diffusing capacity
- Lung Volumes by Plethysmography
- Six-minute walk test

All following the international guidelines of the American Thoracic Society and European
Respiratory Society.

**Detailed Summary of Duties**
- Operate and maintain equipment within the Lung Function Lab according to the laboratory manufacturer’s procedures. This includes calibration, quality control, preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and infection control.
- Work under the laboratory procedures and international guidelines
- Achieve the best possible results for each test, with accuracy, reliability, and repeatability, focusing on patient-centred care.
- Analyse, calculate and present the results for reporting
- General lab administration duties
- Maintaining stock levels & consumables.

**Essential Criteria**
- Applicants are required to hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Must possess a sound knowledge of respiratory physiology/anatomy
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to working effectively within a team environment and independently.
- Attention to detail
