**About the job**

NEC Australia offers comprehensive security services to its customers covering a broad spectrum of end-to-end delivery, provisioning, managed and cyber security services.

Each of the security services are focussed on delivering to specific agreed customer requirements with dedicated skilled and experienced security engineers and analysts from locations across Australia.

This role is to be part of delivering security services for NEC and its customer base and is to work closely with the Sales and Solutions teams to ensure the successful delivery of Security Managed Services offerings in the Australian market.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provision of specialist technical and business analytical skills that contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of security and compliance managed services that meet or exceed SLA’s and contractual commitments.
- Support NEC Australia’s cyber-security strategy to ensure applicable customer information security policies, frameworks, controls, and guidelines are adhered to.
- Develop Incident response plans and handling guides, SOE Hardening guides, vulnerability and patch management plans, notifiable data breach process and response documentation.
- Providing domain expertise and support IDAM/PAM solutions, including on boarding of new services.
- Performs vulnerability assessments of systems and networks within the network environment and patch/mitigate as needed.
- Support the development and maintenance of new and existing security and compliance managed services through developing and maturing processes, and procedures.
- Follow standards to assign priorities to vulnerabilities by evaluating the vulnerability, as well as the sensitivity of the data/system and business criticality of the affected asset.
- Business experience that allows the translation of requirements and the process into well-engineered and integrated solutions

**Key Skills and Experience**
- 7+ years of IT security services experience
- Experience managing security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, MFA, log management, DLP and content filtering
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting Identity and Access Management / Privileged Access Management solutions such as Thycotic, OKTA, Sail Point IQ, CyberArk.
- Active Directory & Cloud AD (admin\privilege best practice). Ex: MS Azure AD
- Applied knowledge of various frameworks such as ISO, NIST, Essential 8 and the development of security controls that reduces risks as identified by these frameworks.
- Working knowledge of vulnerability management tools (Nessus, NMAP)
- Analytical ability to present with credibility and translate technical and complex information concisely for diverse audiences using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding and experience working with cloud network security solutions such as CASB, WAF
- This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an existing or must have the ability to obtain a baseline security/NV1 clearance.

Desirable
- CISSP / CCSP / CRISC
- Azure/AWS cloud certification
- Microsoft 365 experience
