Minutes to Seconds is looking for a Data Engineer in a Hybrid role at ACT.

Clearance: Baseline

Key responsibilities:

- Building data sets, data products, data pipelines and software solutions must be created, maintained and optimised as workloads move from development to production for specific use cases.
- Develop, automate data pipelines and software solutions, that assemble data sets according to the specified data model
- Responsible for using innovative and modern tools, techniques and architecture to partially or completely automate the most-common, repeatable and tedious data preparation and integration tasks in order to minimise manual and error-prone processes and improve productivity.
- Work closely with data architects and analysts on data set design to ensure the data sets can be assembled in reasonable time frame with reasonable effort
- Propose actionable solutions for improvement such as revised or new data assembly frameworks, IT capability enhancements, training and documentation improvements

Ideal profile:

- Strong technical expertise (data models, data set assembly, data mining and segmentation technique)
- Strong ability and experience to design, build and manage data pipelines
- Strong experience in working with and optimising existing data integration and data preparation flows and helping to move them in production.
- Strong experience in working with both open-source and commercial products such as AWS S3, Kafka, AWS Redshift etc.
- At least 6 years or more of work experience in activities directly relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks
- Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools, data modelling tools, data mapping tools, data profiling, data visualization, analytical and statistical tools.
- Strong collaboration skills
- Be innovative in your approach and aware of the latest data initiatives
