WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

**About the Team**

Our Field Service team in Victoria is rapidly expanding and will be a team of 6 when it is fully formed. Reporting to the Team Lead and then through to the National Fleet Manager Land400, this team forms part of our greater Service and Support team who are predominantly based in Queensland.

**About the Role**

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing maintenance and advisory services for logistics and armoured (tracked or wheeled) vehicles, delivering reliable, high quality and timely service support to the customer.

As Field Service Technician**,** you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Working at various sites to conduct, assist and or supervise in diagnosis and repairs on Rheinmetall supported vehicles, turrets and weapons;
- Documenting work order information;
- Being the face of the Rheinmetall brand when engaging with customers/stakeholders;
- Checking and monitoring the repair progress of supported vehicles and associated mission modules, turrets and weapons (mission systems);
- Checking and resolving requests for warranty settlement topic completeness, accuracy and plausibility;
- Undertaking Acceptance and documentation of technical inquiries from the customer/end user;
- Performing technical investigations associated with faults or damages of equipment;
- Preparing reports associated with technical investigations, including technical inspection reports or technical briefs; and
- Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- A mechanical, auto-electrican, aviation weapons or mechatronics qualification;
- Proven experience maintaining a fleet of trucks or armoured vehicles / equipment.
- Proven experience servicing and repairing of heavy equipment, as well as all sub-system components;
- Experience with maintaining turrets and/or weapon systems;
- CANBUS experience and automotive diagnostic skills, specifically with European manufacturers;
- Conversant with the current Land Materiel Safety Manual and ADF technical regulatory requirements;
- Ability to work with mínimal guidance and supervision;
- Ability to travel interstate and internationally (infrequent), when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
