Pendle Hill, Australia Pendle Ham & Bacon Curers Full time

We are looking for a full time butcher to work in our factory located in Pendle Hill.

you will be an expert in meat preparation, de-boning, and delivering exceptional products for our customers. In this role you will be confident in performing quality inspections, taking accountability for the presentation of the meat, and presenting premium products

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Large scale fresh meat handling
- meeting production schedules and KPI's / targets
- cutting/ trimming meat to company's specification
- weight and package meat products
- operating a sausage machine, and other automated meat processing equipment in accordance with specific recipe.
- crumbing, seasoning, marinating, smoking and curing meat.
- producing smallgoods from specially prepared and selected cuts of meat.
- keeping records and inventory control.
- working in a cold environment
- demonstrating good safety practices
- other related activities as required by the business

Skill and experience:

- you will have industry qualification
- minimum cert III or at least 3 years experience
- longevity in your past roles
- minimum 2 years experience as a butcher
- exceptional skills as a de-boning, tying, grinding and tenderising meat
- attention to detail and accuracy with weighing and numbers
- excellent communication skills
- experience in the safety and use of equipment
- understanding how to maintain and sharpen blades
- you will have a lot of pride and passion in your career
- understanding of quality control checks

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Fixed shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pendle Hill, NSW 2145: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Butchery: 3 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
