**About the Role**

We are looking for qualified Librarians to join our casual team.

The Information Librarian works within the Community Arts, Culture and Library Services Department at both Springvale and Dandenong Library sites.

The role’s key responsibilities include providing effective and efficient library and information services to all Library users and our diverse community. Additional responsibilities include: supervising the front of house Library Services team to provide a responsive and flexible service, support and deliver high-quality library programs to promote learning, literacy, reading and social inclusion, and support collection maintenance and development activities.

**About You**

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of information service provision to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, experience in staff supervision in a library environment, experience in conducting staff and/or public training programs, be a committed, considerate, and pro-active team member, and have a passion for supporting and engaging with the community.

You will be flexible and willing to support the team as required on a casual basis including on evening and weekend shifts across our two locations.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
