Our Permanency Support Program implements programs and services to support children and young people in our care who have experienced trauma and neglect. As part of your role, you will work in a Residential Care setting to assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment where the children can feel at home while learning important personal and life skills. No two days are the same

We are fortunate to be expanding our services and setting up brand-new Intensive Therapeutic Houses across Sydney.

House locations available:

- Thornleigh
- Waitara
- Artarmon
- West Pymble

The successful incumbent will be working on a permanent part-time basis. This role would see you working in our homes for children living in out of home care, aged between 11 and 18. The Youth Worker role operates on a 24/7 roster which include morning, afternoon and night shifts, including sleepovers and awake shifts as needed.

**Essential criteria**:

- Experience working in a Youth Worker position is desirable;
- Demonstrated ability to work therapeutically with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and young people who have experienced significant trauma and adversity.
- A valid NSW Driver’s licence;
- A Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check is required for this role
- A Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one before commencement.
