What we’re doing
- With us, you’ll experience impact. You’ll be part of our Consumer Product & Experience group helping us deliver on the new Privacy and Consent program of work. While no two days are ever the same, you’ll be:
- Supporting implementation of tooling and processes for how the technical controls for Privacy & Consent will be maintained ongoing.-
- Supporting implementation of requirements and process to ensure privacy awareness and maturity in data capture, data processing, and access capabilities across REA.-
- Supporting the organisation's projects to assist in implementing the Privacy & Consent framework requirements.-
- Supporting the implementation of the overall Privacy, Consent and Data Security capability road maps to govern access to PI data, treatment, and retention policies in line with future legislation.-
- Contributing to the overall technical direction for REA in collaboration with other technical leaders.-
- Providing technical direction to your team.-
- Working with stakeholders to design high quality solutions that meet the needs of our users.-
- Leading engineering teams in the implementation of major products.-
- Maintaining our products, including bug fixes and enhancements.-
- Supporting production systems.-
Contributing to the technology strategy for key integration projects within your business unit.-
- Contributing to the REA knowledge base through blog posts, brown-bag sessions and coaching less experienced members of the team.-
- Being open to representing the REA technology team in public forums such as conferences, community groups and our technical blog.Who we’re looking for- Proven digital acumen and demonstrated passion for building compelling technology solutions that address business goals.-
- Experience in integrations and data engineering in cloud environments - this role needs to understand how different types of data flows across different parts of the organisation.-
- Knowledge and experience in data management and governance.-
- Preferred experience in implementing Privacy Governance Frameworks.-
- Knowledge, experience, or expertise in data and analytics-
- Expert skills in building solutions that scale and perform for millions of users.-
- Expert skills in one or more programming languages: TypeScript or Scala/Java preferred.-
- Expert skills in modern software development techniques such as test-driven development, pair programming and continuous delivery.-
- Expert skills in microservices API design and development - REST, GraphQL and/or gRPC.-
- Expert skills integrating APIs with backend systems and data platforms for batch and real-time.-
- Experience working with cloud platforms strongly desired - AWS and/or GCP.-
- Experience working with event-driven systems (event brokers, integration hubs, ESBs, queues)-
- Familiarity or experience working with cloud native security processes, expectations, and mindset.-
- Familiarity with building full stack web and mobile front-end products using open source and cloud technologies - React, IOS, Android.-
- A track-record in building and inspiring teams to drive commitment and high-performance.-
- Excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.-
- Strong learning agility.-
