About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a capable and experienced WHS Consultant to join our National Work Health and Safety team.

Reporting to the WHS Operations Manager this permanent full time opportunity will be based in our Northbridge (Perth), WA office with flexible / hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the WHS Operations Manager in the development, review and implementation of the Safety Management system and contribute to improved safety outcomes
- Develop strong relationships with Business Leaders across all Salvation Army Programs and Divisions in Queensland and also nationally as required to ensure pro-active implementation of the WHS management system and processes
- Provide coaching and guidance on best practice risk identification and control practices
- Facilitate and review incident reports, complete incident investigations and risk assessments with sites across The Salvation Army
- Deliver training on WHS topics for various Programs and Divisions

About you:

- Diploma WHS or equivalent is required (degree qualification in WHS, Human Resources or a related field is desirable)
- 3 - 4 years demonstrated experience in WHS roles
- A strong understanding of the principles of WHS management systems
- A sound knowledge of WHS legislation and codes of practice
- Experience in risk management, auditing, incident investigations and delivering WHS training
