**Do you have highly developed drafting skills? We are seeking an Educational Policy Coordinator for a continuing position with immediate start.**

Educational Policy & Compliance are responsible for the maintenance and oversight of policies within the Division of Academic and Student Engagement (DASE) in the context of the University Policy Framework. The team also manage the University’s relationship with TEQSA and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through leadership of major regulatory events such as re-registration and by providing advice and support services to facilitate compliance activities against the Higher Education Standards Framework 2021 (HESF) and the ESOS National Code.

Under limited direction, working with a degree of autonomy, the Educational Policy Coordinator proactively monitors the suite of policies within DASE (including for example the Admissions to Coursework Programs Policy and the Academic Credit Arrangements Policy), ensuring their timely review. They act as a key advisor and provide high level executive support to policy working groups as well as drafting new policies and revisions to existing policies. The Educational Policy Coordinator is also responsible for providing technical advice and expertise in relation to policy development and policy queries**.**

**To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated ability to analyse, review and develop policies and procedures through high level research, analytical and engagement skills.
- Proven experience in interpreting policies and procedures (or similar) and providing detailed advice to stakeholders.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including experience in drafting clear and concise policy and procedures (or similar).
- High quality report writing skills with demonstrated experience in preparing reports, discussion papers and other documents for a variety of audiences that convey technical and strategic advice.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the capacity to set meaningful priorities within a changing environment and the ability to successfully balance competing priorities.

Knowledge of the Australian higher education system, including University program structure, academic policies and procedures, the TEQSA Act and the HESF would be highly desired.
