Stocks, folds, straightens, and arranges clothing, shoes, underwear, and other clothing items. Clears sales floor and aisles of empty pallets and debris. Checks for correct merchandise signs. Ensures merchandise is marked with a merchandise number and has appropriate signs. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Follows proper safety procedures and standards.
**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Folds, straightens, and arranges clothing in layers on stacked pallets. Hangs and straightens clothing on racks.
- Stacks merchandise from partial pallets onto full pallets.
- Stacks items or opened cases of items on shelves.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plan and priorities.
- Writes list of merchandise to be brought from steel, by Forklift Driver, for stocking.
- Moves and positions pallets of merchandise.
- Cuts boxes, bin ties, and shrink-wrap on pallets.
- Secures merchandise on pallets and tag bins or pallets to be returned to steel.
- Follows merchandising standards and practices.
- Aligns merchandise, collects and returns stray items, and stocks to maintain high merchandise levels.
- Spots for Forklift Drivers to keep people out of fall-danger zone.
- Follows all safety and security procedures.
- Clears sales floor of empty pallets and debris. Checks for correct merchandise signs.
- Rewraps loose merchandise, operates cardboard baler and trash compactor.
- Follows established inventory prep guidelines prior to physical inventory.
- Follows proper merchandising and general safety procedures and standards.
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
- Assists members to load large items in their cart.
- Directs members to merchandise, and relates merchandise status knowledge.
**Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery**
- Step stool, trash compactor, cardboard baler, pallet jack, cutter, RF gun, trolleys & flatbeds, box trolley.
**Non-Essential Functions**
- Assists with front end duties and in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.

Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher
Licenses/Certifications: None
Experience/Skills: Customer service or comparable experience | basic math skills
