**About the role**
This is an opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children aged between 5-12 years. The position is permanent part-time and based at the Batemans Bay Out of School Hours (OOSH) Centre at Batemans Bay Public School.
Your main duties will include:
- Plan recreational activities to encouragement development of new skills and support social learning.
- Assist with menu planning and preparation and service of food.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and information about the services provided to the families of children at the centre.
- Provide a happy, safe and healthy environment within National Education and Care Regulations and Standards.
- Take on supervisory responsibilities, as rostered.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range:
As the OOSH Educator, your total remuneration for the role is in the range of $34.83 to $36.91 gross per hour comprised of:
- $31.51 to $33.40 per hour, plus
- $3.31 to $3.51 superannuation (calculated at 10.5%)
As Educational Leader, your total remuneration for the role is in the range of $37.39 to $39.75 gross per hour comprised of:
- $33.84 to $35.98 base salary, plus
- $3.55 to $3.78 superannuation (calculated at 10.5%)
**About you**
We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to educating and nurturing children from all communities, teaching respect, resilience and confidence. As an OOSH educator you will be part of a team responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, healthy and caring environment, fostering the children’s developmental and educational potential.
- You will have a demonstrated interest and enjoyment in working with children.
- Understand the social and recreational needs of 5-12-year-old children.
- Ability to step up to a supervisory role demonstrating team leadership skills, initiative, and experience in planning daily activities.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently with the children and their families.
- You must be over the age of 18.
