Daycare Attendant

Ari and Me Doggy Daycare is a local family run facility located in the beautiful leafy suburb of Golden Grove. Our company is passionate about dogs and treat all dogs in our care like they were our own. A force free dog daycare and training facility, our mission is to strengthen the bond between humans and their canine companions by fostering mutual trust. We maintain the highest standards of safety and happiness for all dogs under our care, operating under the mantra of "no force, no fear."

Our highly trained staff supervise all dog interactions, demonstrating exceptional skills in deciphering dog body language and behaviours.

Being a small business, we need applicants who are highly reliable, trustworthy and who will work hard to ensure the best for the business and its clientele.

YOU MUST have experience with dog body language and be able to recognise signals that could indicate a confrontation. You must be highly observant and aware that the safety and welfare of our dogs is of the utmost importance.

As an ideal applicant for this role, it is essential that you:

- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Have a thorough understanding of dog behaviour
- Align with our Force Free, Fear Free values
- Understand Positive Reinforcement
- Can effectively manage a group of dogs of all energies in a confident, calm and compassionate nature
- Have competent knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, and know how to take quality photos and videos on your phone.
- Can work weekdays, anywhere between 6:30am-6:30pm

Tasks include but not limited to:

- Supervise, engage with, and actively monitor the dogs in your care.
- Practice basic dog training and manners.
- Photographing and uploading stories of dogs for social media
- Use only positive, gentle, reward-based training methods.
- Daily ongoing and end of day cleaning & disinfection of facility
- Maintaining daily information on dog behaviour, activities, and well-being

Animal related qualifications such as Cert 3 Companion Animal Services. Online Course certificates also accepted.

and/or

At least 6 months work experience in the companion dog industry such as doggy daycare, dog grooming, dog boarding, dog training, vet nursing etc,

**Salary**: From $28.26 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
