The role

We’re seeking a creative and innovative Marketing & Communication Coordinator to join our Global Marketing & Communication Team in Brisbane. In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating internal and external marketing and communications initiatives for our Global Transport portfolio (roads & highways, rail & metro, geotechnical & tunnels, aviation & aerospace, and ports & maritime) along with providing a broad range of general administration events coordination support to the wider marketing team.

Key responsibilities:

- Assisting in developing content for and implementing individual campaigns with clear milestones, action plans and deliverables.
- Following internal and external Marketing Communication systems and processes, but also identifying areas where processes can be streamlined and workflow automated.
- Developing and implementing measurement techniques to obtain feedback.
- Maintaining all relevant marketing and communication materials on a national level.
- Providing content and materials to the greater SJ Group Communication & Branding team as required.
- Maintaining effective content and delivery of company communications across all channels.
- Assisting with developing and managing communication templates, materials, and tools to store centrally.
- Reviewing communications messages in accordance with Global and ANZ Governance Strategy.
- Factchecking, proof-reading, user testing, and quality checking prior to distribution or production.
- Event coordination and relevant pre and post-event communications.
- Assisting with implementing effective internal and external distribution of campaigns and initiatives within timeframe and budget.
- Developing relevant project management plans and promotional material to support initiatives and campaigns.
- Supporting the marketing and communications team in the delivery of marketing and communication solutions in line with business strategy.

About you

- Tertiary degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar Marketing Coordinator related role, ideally within a professional service environment.
- Highly developed administration skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in a variety of computer programs.
- A strong foundation of professional writing skills.
- A strong understanding of contemporary marketing and communication principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a lateral thinker.
- A genuine team player and desire to work collaboratively with the broader team.
