WAMC was established under the Waste Recycling and Processing Corporation (Authorised Transaction) Act 2010 which was recently amended to the Waste Assets Management Corporation Act 2023. The Waste Assets Management Corporation (WAMC), part of Property and Development NSW, is a statutory corporation which specialises in the rehabilitation, remediation and management of NSW Government-owned legacy contaminated sites and landfills.

Our key focus is ensuring that any potential human health and environmental risks posed by these sites are managed and controlled, while pursuing opportunities to make the best use of the land to deliver positive outcomes for the environment and community.

Our highly specialised team of contaminated land management, landfill management, monitoring and remediation experts have extensive operational, engineering, environmental and planning experience.

**About the role**

We are seeking a **WHS Officer** to undertake and complete safety and quality assurance works by providing continuous WHS education with a focus on safety management systems, contractor management and training for various site projects across WAMC and ESG.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following key knowledge and experience:

- Experience in providing safety and risk management advice on landfills, waste management facilities and contaminated land sites.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO45001: 2018 - OHS Management Systems including experience in site audits, risk assessments, safety toolbox meetings and other WHS reporting systems.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace, Health and Safety or relevant discipline.
- A current and valid NSW driver’s full license and willingness to travel to NSW project sites
