InvoCare is a leader within the funeral industry and currently operates over 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries and 29 crematoria, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and growing. We currently have an opening for a Commercial Analyst for the Australian Funerals operations, who will be responsible for providing actionable, data-driven insights to management, as well as support on analytics and processes.

**Duties of the Commercial Analyst will include**:

- Collecting and interpreting numerical and statistical data including transforming raw data into insights, reports, charts visualisations and forecasts for stakeholders to understand and action.
- Working with stakeholders to develop automated reports with key business indicators to provide continuous insights for business decisions, including the development of Zone Communications Boards, presenting data from various sources, and aggregating into summary presentation formats.
- Support for business cases and financial modelling
- Support for budgeting and forecasting
- Monitoring and supporting initiatives, including reporting on benefits realisation.

**About you**:

- Strategically capable, operationally focused, commercially savvy and inspirational.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Service focused orientation, with a commitment to responsiveness and making a difference.
- Tertiary level qualification in IT, Computer Science, Strategy, Business, Finance, or other area relevant to the position and/or an equivalent combination of relevant (5 years) of experience and training.
- Extensive experience in statistical analysis (able to identify patterns in data, which also include a good understanding of anomaly and pattern detection); and data storytelling (able to communicate actionable insights using data, often for the stakeholders and non-technical audience).
- An analytical mind with attention to detail, an inclination for problem-solving and ability to analyse large data sets and communicate commercial insights from this analysis.
- Ability to perform advanced business analysis with the help of several techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modelling, data mining.
- Advanced in the following - SQL querying, reporting and dashboard experience (Power BI or something similar) and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
