**Supervision Advisor**

An exciting and challenging role has become available in the Employer Supervision team, at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) within the Department of Customer Service, is looking for a Supervision Advisor to support the delivery of a range of priority projects that are focused on building employer capability, supervision and compliance activity.

In regulating and supervising the state’s employers the team adopts a fit for purpose regulatory model and utilising a range of regulatory tools holds employers to account for their performance and compliance with their workers compensation obligations.

SIRA is continuously strengthening its regulatory focus on return to work with an enhanced focus on employer?capability alongside increased supervision and enforcement activity. The team supports the delivery of SIRA’s fit for purpose regulatory model and framework utilising a range of regulatory tools to take proportionate regulatory action where performance is not meeting or exceeding standards. This includes, but not limited to policy and education initiatives, strategic stakeholder engagements and proactive regulatory activity.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of the role of the employer within the workers compensation system and/or experience in personal injury schemes to do something a little different

**What might an average day look like as a Supervision Advisor?**
- Influence and build the capability of regulated entities to improve outcomes in the personal injury schemes
- Analyse data to identify trends and plan an appropriate supervision or enforcement response
- Align team workplans to SIRA’s strategic plans and track outcome measures to ensure actions are effective
- Allied health qualifications or experience in workplace rehabilitation, injury management or claims management preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of NSW personal injury schemes, legislation, and recovery at work best practice
- Project management experience and the ability to work autonomously
- Strong written and verbal communication, a flexible attitude and an ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work
