Just Better Care Central Coast are looking for Support Workers across the Central Coast to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high quality in-home support services to our valued customers.

**About us**:
Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community.

Our friendly, compassionate and experienced team makes this possible. As part of the Just Better Care Central Coast team, you will be supported by the local office team based in Gosford. Just Better Care Central Coast is locally family owned and operated and has been supporting the Coast for over 15 years

Competitive and above award casual pay rates i.e. Monday-Friday pay rates starting at between $34.37-$39.53 per hour (Cert 3) and $33.68-$38.73 (Non Cert). Additional penalties/allowances also paid including some travel and broken shifts. Possible opportunity to move to permanent PT employment in the future. Please contact us to find out more.

**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs, including use of manual handling equipment
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Provide updates on customer progress following each service

**About you**:

- Caring, compassionate & friendly
- Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
- Reliable & dependable
- Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
- Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

**What you will need**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers License
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smart phone with internet access
- Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
- Previous employment experience in community care, disability care or health/aged care (preferred)
