We are looking for a passionate PBS Lead Clinician who wants to make a real difference in the lives of Victorian families.

You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health and client support professionals, coaching, supervising and providing PBS services while sharing ideas and knowledge to contribute to a holistic care approach for our wonderful clients.

You’ll be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, delivering services in one of our well-equipped clinics, at client’s homes, schools and via telehealth.

Key responsibilities

Coach and mentor PBS Practitioners from our new beginners through to Proficient practitioners i.e. plan development, report writing
Ensure all PBS practices and interventions are compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards, NDIS Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules 2018, Services Agreement and ESA’s Code of Conduct
Maintain a strong clinical knowledge to ensure high level services
Identify and implement intervention approaches and strategies that are evidence based, holistic, client-centred and outcome driven
Utilise and provide a range of assessment tools & techniques
Support clients and other stakeholders to develop and review PBS documentation
Approach risk in a positive way to achieve quality of life outcomes, whilst ensuring that safeguards are in place to maximise the rights of people and protect the most vulnerable
Conduct regular performance reviews and clinical audits to be able to contribute to the growth of the team while maintaining clinical standards
Works with Regional Manager to develop community relationships to develop and promote the service

What you'll bring to Early Start Australia

Have a tertiary degree that is OT, SP, SW, Psychologist, BCBA Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA or other relevant body
Proficient or Advanced PBS Practitioner with experience working with people with a disability and their families
Have delivered PBS services under NDIS and submitted interim, comprehensive and progress reports
Supervision experience working with coaching and supervision strategies
Experience in person and family centred practice
Thorough understanding of Restrictive Practices and experience training other practitioners
