SAE students and staff have access to the best academic and industry equipment and facilities. A national and predominantly online service, SAE’s Learning Advisory provides resourcing and services typically found at Australian universities.

**About the role**

The Learning Adviser provides high-quality learning development and support, working with undergraduate and postgraduate, face-to-face and online students across SAE’s Australian campuses. This role provides consultations and workshops to improve student academic literacy and strengthen learning and understanding. You will manage peer-assisted groups, develop and promote academic support resources, and perform other related duties commensurate to the role. Reporting to the Head of Library and Learning Services, you will work collectively with fellow learning advisors and various stakeholders across and outside SAE.

This position suits an experienced learning advisor looking to work with creative-minded students. The successful applicant will join the SAE learning advisory team at a time of service expansion and development.

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- Possession of a degree in learning support, psychology, education, or a related discipline;
- Proven experience in delivering effective learning support services to students;
- Comprehensive understanding of the range of services available through a learning advisory;
- Proficient in English with strong grammar, academic writing, and presentation skills;
- Knowledgeable about electronic resources utilised in teaching and learning;
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities;
- Inclusive approach and adeptness in working with a diverse student population;
- Proficient computing skills;
- Capable of both independent and collaborative work, demonstrating initiative and meticulous attention to detail;
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
