**What is your new role about?**
We are searching for an eager Specialist IoT Administrator reporting to the IoT Manager, the Specialist IoT Administrator has responsibility for the process and technical administration of the IoT device management platform for Horizon Power. This will be a part of our Standalone Power System (SPS) project as well as other IoT initiatives.
**Your new role will include**:
- Monitor and maintain the current IoT Device Management platform.
- Devise, plan and execute complex test plans.Trouble shoot system generated alarms and threshold limits.
- Configure and maintain the Linux based IoT Controllers and the IoT Server.
- Coordinate and liaise as required with internal stakeholders (all groups, all levels) and external suppliers/contractors to maintain an up-to-date internal document register of final and approved project documentation.
- Assist in the establishment of processes, systems, and templates to efficiently deploy and manage remote IoT edge devices and their associated components.
**Our new Specialist IoT Administrator will have**:
- Essential - Degree or Diploma qualification in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the administration and support of technology or operational systems.
- Previous experience in creating and maintaining test plans and test results in a test management system (e.g., Micro Focus ALM)
- Thorough understanding in translating customer requirements into easy-to-use system features
- Desirable - Have proficiency in Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), SQL writing, Java script, IP communication networks and hardware, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
