**About the role**

In this role you will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. As a teacher in community services, you will teach qualifications in Community Services, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Mental Health and Youth Work. You will have a passion for building and maintaining strong partnerships with industry and local community / community organisations and working within a team to develop practice. These partnerships and industry experience will transfer to innovative learning for students in both the classroom and industry settings.

**Essential requirements**:

- Aboriginality
- Hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week ‘Paid to Learn’ course.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to the community services industry.
