**The Role**:
In this role, you will provide HSE assistance, advice, training, and support to our staff and subcontractor network. This position would suit someone who has health and safety experience and is keen on expanding their health and safety skills and experience with a growing and diverse business. This role will allow you to support national businesses with operations in multiple states.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Drive & lead a strong safety culture - cultural fit and a “safety leader” is what we are looking for
- Drive a strong onsite presence amongst our staff and subcontractors through inspections, audits, leading by example and coaching in the moment
- Reduce risks and prevent injuries through a focus on high risk work and safety compliance
- Keep up to date with HSE compliance in relevant state & national legislation
- Manage HSE inductions & onboarding process for new internal staff, including HSE training
- Respond to incidents & emergencies, including investigations, reporting & escalation
- Other duties as directed by the National HSE Manager & State Managers including monthly reporting & contribution to strategic plans and projects

**Key Selection Criteria**:
Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box? Being able to demonstrate and highlight examples of these are the key criteria for you to be successful in joining our existing talented and passionate team.
- Qualification in Work Health & Safety, essential (minimum Certificate IV in H&S)
- Previous experience in the Building & Construction industry
- Use of safety systems and technology
- Superior communication skills, both written & verbal
- Results driven & adaptable
- Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail
- Problem solving & process implementation skills
- Ability to analyse & interpret data, laws & regulations
- Valid driver licence
- Construction White Card
