Become a part of Ventia's team in Bluescope, Wollongong for our upcoming Shutdown at BLAST FURNACE 5

Shutdown dates 5th - 7th September 2023.

You will be working alongside fantastic people and contributing to the growth of the company as well as growing your skills and experience.

What you can expect:

- Casual pay rate of $41.75 ph + penalties + overtime
- 12 hour Day and Night shifts
- Travel Allowance provided to those eligible
- Collaborative and inclusive on-site culture
- Chance for further opportunities

What you will need:

- Qualification: Cert III Engineering - Fabrication Trade
- Working at Heights ticket (highly desirable)
- Confined Space ticket (highly desirable)
- Have recent work experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a Shutdown capacity
- Have a strong commitment to safe work practices

By joining our Shutdown crew, you are registered to be part of future upcoming projects right across Australia, as well as hearing about permanent opportunities first. If you are looking for an ongoing role locally in Wollongong, this could be a good stepping stone to do so. We have permanent work for Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters and Riggers.

For more than 20 years, Ventia has had a longstanding relationship with BlueScope in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, providing plant maintenance, engineering and project services and a skilled workforce for numerous BlueScope projects, as well as fabrication facilities. We have recently renewed our contract with BlueScope for maintenance services with the addition of fire services at BlueScope's Port Kembla Steel Works.
