**About the salon**

Hare and Fawn is a new salon in the heart of Queanbeyan, sister salon to Eden Hair Energy and Canberra Hair Extensions (CHE). Eden and CHE are fast paced and rapidly growing businesses and we are looking for a salon coordinator to manage the front of house and help us take Hare and Fawn to a new level, consistent with our other salons.

Eden first opened in 2014, in 2021 we opened CHE and in 2023 we expanded into Queanbeyan and opened Hare and Fawn, a beautiful luxury full service hair salon specialising in hair extensions and colour.

Our current trading hours are Tuesday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm and Fridays 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

**About the role**

This position is permanent part time/full time at 35 - 38 hours per week and would be working over four days, Tuesday - Friday within the hours mentioned above. The salon coordinator would be required to begin an hour before open time and finish at closing time, being responsible for opening and closing the salon.

Occasionally you would need to be available on Mondays or Saturdays, but this would only be in rare situations with notice provided and either paid as overtime or given alternative days off.

This is a standing role and can be quite physical, you must be able and happy to stand for your whole shift.

**Duties**
- Salon opens and close
- provide exceptional customer service with a smile
- welcome and prepare clients for services
- represent the Hare and Fawn salon brand and communicate with clientele face to face, on the phone and social media
- coordinating the appointment book/daily schedule including overall salon time management and team lunch breaks
- processing sales and payments
- creating and posting social media content on behalf of the salon
- offering and making beverages for guests
- assisting with salon cleaning especially at the end of the day
- keep client histories and records
- stock management and orders
- must feel comfortable identifying tasks which need to be completed and directing team members accordingly.

**Other duties that you will be required to do as your role develops and level of experience grows**:

- working on and updating salon policies and procedures
- collate reports (from salon software) for management
- manage team KPIs
- organise events and promotions
- draft blogs and put together mail campaigns and mailouts

**Skills and Experience**
- customer service experience required
- administrative or front of house experience is preferred but not essential
- a good eye for detail
- experience in hair salons is not required but could be useful
- fluent English (written and spoken)
- an interest in and flair for social media. Social media account management preferred but not required however must fully understand functionality of Facebook and Instagram and be interested in learning more and keeping up to date with changes
- proficient in Microsoft office suite
- a knack for picking up booking software (we use Kitomba and Phorest)
- confident and personable and be able to deal with challenging clients and situations
- team player and caring nature
- must be happy to do a variety of tasks from more complex to basic such as cleaning and whatever is required to assist the salon at the time.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $53,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 - 38 per week
