**About the role**
It is an exciting time to participate in and support the growth of ICYMHS and the wider Mental Health Division at Austin Health
**The Mental health Clinician for the Central Community Team is a position that will be providing clinical expertise and case management to young people and their families referred into the service. In **line with the Royal Commission into Mental Health recommendations it will soon extend its age range to 25. This is a Grade 2 clinician role.
A regular day will see you:
- ** Engage with young people and their families within clinical settings**:
- ** Work collaboratively with families, co-clinicians and key stakeholders to support referred young people**:
- ** Provide a high-quality evidence based clinical service that is strength based in its approach to client care**:
- ** Provide a clear understanding and practice in the principles of recovery orientated trauma informed and family centered practice**:
- ** Undertake comprehensive assessments together with, formulation, individualised treatment plans, case management and therapeutic care for young people**
**About you**
If you are passionate about and experienced in the child and youth mental health sector, we are keen for you to join our multidisciplinary team Occupational Therapists and Social Workers are strongly encouraged to apply
To be successful in this role you will bring with you:
- ** A relevant qualification and AHPRA registration**:
- ** Relevant minimum years of post-graduate experience in a tertiary mental health setting or other related field with specific experience with young people and families**:
- ** Demonstrated ability in and knowledge of the identification, assessment and treatment for this age range**:
- ** Demonstrated commitment to the care of this cohort in the least restrictive and intrusive manner, respecting rights, privacy and dignity**:
- ** Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and progress toward recovery goals**
