This position offers a 5:2:4:3 roster. Working an 80 hour fortnight, you will have every second Friday off as your RDO as well as Public Holidays - a great work/life balance.

**About The Role**
The AHS Lead is responsible for managing the operational configuration, Development pipeline and Field follow projects with relation to the Autonomous Haulage System and other mining technologies used at Boddington.

**In This Role You Will**
- Proactively manage safety within the Mine Operations to promote improved safety outcomes in activities affected by AHS. You will participate in relevant safety-related audits, risk reviews, and investigations.
- Management of the AHS to meet the relevant business needs of the Boddington operation. This management includes Configuration standards, version control, support priorities, development pipeline, Field follows and budgets.
Significant experience in open pit mining operations
- Stakeholder management across functions within Mine Operations, Tech Services, and cross-department; in particular Technology and Asset Management.
- Develop the annual budgeting for business upgrades and development activities, including the development of accurate operating and capital cost models and justification for projects and replacement plans.
- Provide mentoring to the Mine Control team, including providing support and advice, assisting them in developing their careers, and improving Newmont's depth of technical expertise.
- Assist Superintendents with training and professional development plans for their teams with relation to AHS.

**Your Skills, Training & Experience Checklist**:

- Technical knowledge of Engineering disciplines - Production and Planning.
- Thorough understanding of Minestar Autonomous Haulage Solution
- Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry
- Leadership experience in open pit operations and proven track record of leading teams
- Strong analytical and report writing skills for peer reviews and assessment, feasibility, and due diligence work.
- Good people skills for managing the group's staff, interacting with suppliers, and maintaining positive relationships elsewhere within and outside Newmont.
