**About Monash Newborn**

Monash Newborn is 20 bed special care nursery located in Casey Hospital. Our Ward Clerks are responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical functions as directed by the Nurse Managers
- Clinical Services. Your goal will be to promote and maintain good customer relations with families, visitors, and other hospital staff.

As an integral part of our team you are the welcoming face of our service consistently demonstrating our core values.

**About You**

You will have outstanding interpersonal and customer relation skills to communicate with members of the public and a variety of health professionals. Proven experience with IPM or similar admission/discharge databases, electronic medical records such as EMR, telephones, reception, clerical and good computer skills are a must.

You have a broad computer background with attention to detail, thoroughness, accuracy and strong customer service. Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and have the flexibility to multi-task in our fast-paced environment.

**What you need to have**
- Training and experience with admission and discharge databases such as IPM
- Skill in using electronic medical records
- Advanced computer skills
- High level customer skills and communication skills
- Previous clerical experience in a busy neonatal environment
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Ability and flexibility to take on additional shifts as requested
- Professional and positive attitude
