Press Officer

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, organizational and time management skills as well as critical and analytical skills, especially with regard to the media and the Australian political landscape. Competency across the Microsoft Office suite is essential. The position is on a permanent full-time basis. A Bachelor Degree is required.

Monitoring Australian press and media coverage of issues important to the mission.

Liaising with countrywide press and media to harmonize coverage.

Building productive relationships with press media professionals in-person and online.

Analyzing media reactions and trends.

Identifying and advising the mission’s leadership on strategies for promoting accurate, balanced Australian press and media coverage of the mission’s foreign policy and interests.

Correcting misinformation and countering disinformation.

Writing papers, media statements, speeches, reviews and research.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
