Ta / Factory Hands

We are seeking Trade assistants / Factory Hand labourers to work for us with a large manufacturing mining company based in Bassendean.

**About the role**:

- Local work in Bassendean Engineering Workshop.
- Fettling - removing sharp edges from castings using a grinder
- Using power tools - grinders, drills
- Priming ceramic wear plate and basic assembly.
- Patch welding and grinding of wear plate.
- Putting rubber liners on ceramic block
- General TA duties within an engineering workshop environment.
- Assisting boilermakers & welders
- start on day shift for 1/2 weeks training before moving onto afternoon or night shift

**Skills & Experience**:

- Ability to do repetitive work in a production environment.
- Ability to use power tools such as grinders, drills etc
- Ability to do manual lifting
- Previous experience working in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment desirable.
- Previous experience using stick and mig welder an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol test.
- Ability to work safely in a fast paced production environment.
- Current Driver’s License and Reliable transport.
- Current resume with two contactable work references.
- HRWL - LF (Forklift) desirable

- Afternoon Shift 37.95 per/hr + penalties 14:00-22:00
- Night shift rate $42.90 per/hr + penalties 22:00 - 06:00
